When I say the historic estate at Topsfield State Forest is sprawling, I mean it’s the kind of place where you can hit your daily step goal just by wandering around scouting for the best light before the session even begins. Carly & Akiva braved the crisp November air with me at the Quabbin and I’m so grateful. From enjoying the view at the lookout to a rocky walk along the water to rolling around in the wild blueberries, these two were all snuggles and smiles.

It’s so great meeting local couples and bringing them to one of my favorite spots for enjoying the beauty of Western Mass. Ami and Dom were adorable and were game for every suggestion I came up with. Can’t wait to celebrate with them next year!

I have lived in Western MA for 14 years now, and I still have to just stop and stare when I visit certain parts of the Quabbin Reservoir in Ware. I’m always so excited when my couples are willing to meet me out there, sort of in the middle of nowhere, to soak in the views and make some pretty memories. When I look back on these portraits of Alex and John, I truly feel like they had a good time and that makes me pretty happy.

Leo & Katty were staying at their upstate NY wedding venue and met up with us in Albany for a variety of portraits on this gorgeous September afternoon. They wore casual outfits for a relaxed stroll around Washington Park, and in their formal outfits we had fun posing them around downtown: Empire State Plaza, The Egg, West Capitol Park, and in & around the New York State Capitol..

Kristen & Matt have made a home together in Jersey City, so we did their engagement session at two of their favorite local spots for drinking beer, going for walks and sightseeing: Hudson Hall and Liberty State Park….
